Face Films is a young, dynamic independent film production company with bases in London, Los Angeles and Bristol (UK). We cover all aspects of film production. From original stories, script writing and development to pre-production, production and post-production, consultancy and line-producing.
We created Face Films Ltd in 2005 and after a series of pop promos, commercials and short films; in 2007 we completed our first commercial feature film: "City Rats". Starring Danny Dyer, Susan Lynch, Tamer Hassan and MyAnna Buring it was released by Revolver Entertainment, reaching number 6 in the UK DVD charts and selling well over 370,000 copies in the UK alone.
The Face Films founders are William Borthwick: Writer/Producer, Ben King: Editor/Colourist/CGI/Designer, Adam Levins: Director/ Cinematographer and Writer Simon Fantuazzo.
We met whilst studying MAs at London Guildhall university and created the company to put a name and 'Face' to all our subsequent productions together. In case you were wondering where the name "Face" films comes from...
...it was William's nick-name from school!; "the Faceman" referring to Dirk Benedict's character in the 80's hit TV show "The A-Team" and Dirk Benedict is also the Official Patron of Face Films Ltd.
In 2012 James Lane joined the Face Films team as a creative director. James is a man described by Tim Minchin as “So charming you just want to punch him in the face”. To read more click James' link on the right.
