Ben started out as a freelance Graphic Designer but went on to study Design for Film and Television and because of his studies, he became more involved with motion media and spent the next 17 years as an editor on Lightworks, Avid, Media 100 & Final Cut Pro.
He has worked on many thousands of projects - covering every genre; directing, editing, digital FX compositing and graphics. His vast knowledge of graphics has enabled him to produce media across the entire spectrum from print to Web to DVD, Standard Definition to HD and Film.
In recent years he has worked on several TV series such as Wild Case Files (National Geographic), How to take Stunning Pictures (Channel Five), Fake or Fortune (BBC), Nigel Slater's Simple Suppers (BBC), When Romeo Met Juliet (BBC), Grime Scene Investigation (BBC), When Love Comes to Town (BBC), Help Me Anthea, I'm Infested! (BBC) and Oz & James's Big Wine Adventure (BBC) to name but a few. Ben also has been the main development editor at BBC Bristol winning commissions for many new TV series.
He has also edited a multitude of other projects including adverts, music videos and designed and produced animations for bands such as Second Person and Bim.
He was both Editor and Head of Post Production for our first feature "City Rats" and is hard at work on our next projects to help bring them to the screen. He has recently finished editing a film for Oh My! Productions called "Four" and is often in demand to "rescue" those wayward edits done by less experienced editors. (He's also the guy who put this website together which means he probably feels a little weird reading all this :P ).
Ben talents don't stop there. He is also a Moderator for one of the largest and most respected Final Cut Pro user groups; the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group or LAFCPUG and also is part of the team who run the FCPUG SuperMeets which is attended by thousands of Filmmakers from around the world.
